Short signatures
Mailtiv offers up to 5 short signature formats for internal email. People pick a format in the Mailtiv pane in Outlook and apply it, so emails to colleagues stay smaller and simpler.
Emails to colleagues don't need the full signature with logos and images. Mailtiv offers a short plain-text signature for internal email, which keeps your messages smaller and cuts the amount of data moving inside your organization.
How it works
The short signature is on the Quick Internal tab of the Mailtiv pane in Outlook:
- Start a new email in Outlook and open the Mailtiv pane.
- Go to the Quick Internal tab.
- Choose a format and check the preview.
- Select Apply Quick Signature.
The 5 formats are:
- Display Name / Job Title - Department
- Display Name - Department
- Display Name / Job Title
- Display Name Only
- Initials - Department
Mailtiv remembers the format you picked last. For the whole pane, see Mailtiv in Outlook.
Good to know
- You apply the short signature yourself from the pane; the signature added to new emails automatically is your company's full signature.
- The Mailtiv pane isn't available on phones. Use short signatures in Outlook for Windows, Mac or the web.
- The details (name, title, department) come from your Microsoft 365 profile. If something is wrong, your IT team fixes it in Microsoft 365.
